Lathe MachinistJob Descriptiono Identify, locate and load items using equipment as needed (cranes, fork trucks etc.)o Review job packets for setups and job specific informationo Measure items/verify dimensionso Load program and verify accuracy through either a test run (if possible) or verifying accuracy as job is being worked ono Understand and utilize drilling, boring, reaming, tapping, turning, facing and other operationso Continually monitor job and ensure accuracy and speedso Write basic programs and edit Cam programso Continually improve the process by finding, documenting and implementing (both independently and with the help of the team) more efficient ways to complete the job (updated programming, positioning, tooling etc.)o Cleanup finished product by de-burring, wiping down etc.o Unload finished product from machine and ensure that it is moving on to its next work centero Maintain a safe, clean working environmento Make management aware of any issues with the machine or consumablesGeneral Skills•Ability to read blueprints/drawings•Use various measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, tape measure etc.)•Proficient in math (algebra, geometry, etc.)•Attention to detail•SafetyQualifications•Mechanical ability•Ideally 1 year of experience or trade school (but not required)Benefits•Competitive wages•100% Paid Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance•HSA•Safe Harbor 401K (3%)•Life Insurance•Paid Vacation•Available Supplementary Insurance•Family Owned and OperatedComments•Flexible start times•Monday-Friday (daylight)•Overtime as needed•Optional weekend work available
