Details Client NameThe Mount Sinai Hospital Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyEP Lab Job IDJob TitleRN - Electrophysiology Lab - Contract - MSH Weekly Pay$2446.6 Shift Details ShiftMid - 11.5x3 - 12PM Scheduled Hours34 Job Order Details Start Date01/06/2025 End Date04/05/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Clinical Nurse (Electrophysiology Lab RN) Job Specialty: Electrophysiology Lab Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid - 3x11.5 - 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of electrophysiology setting experience in a hospital License: NYS RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - 2 years of ambulatory procedural experience- 1 year of travel experience for travel positions (not required for per diem positions)- EPIC experience highly preferred Job Description: - Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care, applying nursing processes based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills in patient care management.- Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.- Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning after hospital care, and delegating to others as Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease, anticipating needs and readiness to learn.- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing and demonstrate the allocation of material resources effectively. Patient Experience: - Model the tenets of Relationship-Centered Care through actions like Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, and Purposeful Hourly Rounding.- Consider the patient's values, preferences, cultural diversity, expressed needs, and knowledge in all aspects of care.- Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family.- Utilize evidence-based practices to understand patients' perceptions of care better.- Initiate service recovery for patients and family members with concerns and escalate issues as needed.- Demonstrate caring, respect, compassion, empathy, and active listening through dialogue, body language, and actions. Quality and Safety: - Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.- Demonstrate clinical skills crucial to quality and safety in the patient population served.- Implement process improvement strategies based on institutional, evidence-based procedures.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement quality improvement projects, evidence-based practice activities, and nursing research studies. Operations: - Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.- Coordinate with the Clinical Coordinator/Clinical Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager to ensure supplies are sufficiently utilized for patient care.- Document accurately in compliance with hospital, legal requirements, and standards of care. Professional Development: - Contribute to the environment of care to support clinical colleagues, patients, and their families.- Advance in clinical competence from novice to expert, and project a professional image to colleagues.- Participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils, nursing department committees, and unit initiatives. Education: Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred. An associate degree in nursing is considered with relevant experience or active enrollment in a BSN program.
