Vacancy Name Sr Account Manager - Americas Vacancy Reference VN2268 Location Country United States Location City New York Description Account Manager - USA Location - New York Salary - Up to $150,000 dependent on experience + Commission SmartStream is looking for a very seasoned Account Manager responsible for the retention and growth of client accounts in the Americas. This individual will work closely with the Head of Sales and Relationship Manager to develop and implement strategies that drive revenue growth by cross-selling and upselling into existing clients, improve overall customer experience and be the key commercial account owner. This person will prioritise key accounts, develop large account management plans and work with multifunctional teams at SmartStream to ensure clients maximise their investment in our technology. This role will need to interface with: Sales executives, Presales, and regional managers, Product Managers, PS, Support, Delivery engagement, Managed services and OnDemand SPO, Commercial review and finance External strategic partners This role will be focused on retaining existing accounts but also greatly improving adoption of our other SmartStream solutions within the USA client base. The role reports into the Head of Sales and Relationship Management for the Americas. Job Responsibilities Key duties and accountabilities of the role will include. •Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with assigned clients across the Americas. •Thoroughly understand clients' objectives, challenges, and goals to align with SmartStream's technologies and provide personalized support to uphold a standard of excellence. •Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, product development, and customer support, to ensure client success and satisfaction. •Gain a deep understanding of SmartStream's solution offerings to effectively communicate their benefits and value to key key stakeholders within assigned accounts. •Proactively identify new opportunities, enhance existing solutions and manage upselling initiatives, including contracts review to optimize revenue potential. •Address client concerns with foresight, anticipating and mitigating potential issues to maintain strong client relationships. •Serve as an advocate for client feedback, partnering with the company to drive improvements of new features. •Stay current and informed with industry trends and developments to provide clients with insightful recommendations and strategic guidance. •Manage all aspects of client accounts, including contract renewals, billing, and revenue growth. •Maintain accurate records of client interactions and activities in the CRM system. •Develop and maintain comprehensive account management plans and information on your clients commercial and contractual status. •Regularly assess and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate value and ROI to clients. •Contribute to the company's mission of delivering exceptional technology solutions and services. Key Skills •8+ years proven experience in account management or a related role within the financial technology industry. •Strong communication and presentation skills. •Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. •Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive "self-starter" approach. •Familiarity with Salesforce software and Microsoft Office Suite. •Willingness to travel occasionally within the region. •Fluent in English (additional languages a plus). •Experience working in financial services/Technology sector. •Experienced working with multifunctional teams to deliver enterprise software engagements. •Experience working with on premise and cloud technologies •Ability to think strategically and develop customized solutions that align with the client's needs Desirable Skills •Some competencies with product management for project delivery and maintaining and developing technical roadmaps. •Able to communicate technical concepts when it comes to technical upgrades, migrations and cloud technology. •Some experience selling BPO and managed services offerings.
