We are seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our IT strategy. As CIO, you will be responsible for managing and implementing the strategic direction, planning, and execution of all activities related to information technology and network engineering within the organization ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and aligning technology initiatives with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial technology, networking, data centers, cyber security and have a proven ability to foster innovation and cross department collaboration and coordination. Essential Functions Technology Strategy & Innovation: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals and ensures seamless cross functional implementation and understanding. Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all technological operations and initiatives adhere to broker-dealer regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC, FINRA), cybersecurity standards, and data privacy regulations. Infrastructure Management: Oversee the firm's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, security of systems, and capacity planning for future growth and optimization. Vendor & Partner Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and third-party providers to ensure deliverables meet the expectations and needs of the business. Risk Management: Review, develop and implement risk management policies for information security, disaster recovery, and business continuity, protecting the firm's data and operations against potential threats. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the executive team and department heads to support business strategies, prioritize projects, and align technology with company growth objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the financial services industry or a broker-dealer environment. In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards for broker-dealers, including SEC and FINRA guidelines. Proven track record of implementing technology solutions that align with business strategies and drive operational efficiency. Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data management, and IT risk management practices in addition to an understanding of low latency / bare-metal setups, market data management. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across departments and with external partners. Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to solving complex problems and implementing solutions. Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, or similar are an advantage. Preferred Skills: Experience in cloud computing, and advanced analytics within the financial technology sector. Familiarity with trading platforms, financial software, and emerging technologies relevant to financial services. Strong understanding of Agile or other project management methodologies for driving technology projects effectively
