Senior Accountant for Prominent NYC Nonprofit About the Company: Extremely stable, prominent NYC nonprofit organization focused on providing free legal assistance to New Yorkers in need, serving 100,000+ clientscommunity members annually Our client has been a leader in the community for over 50 years & is continuing to grow both their team & funds to assist clients Full time, Hybrid position located in Downton Manhattan Prior employees rate the company & benefits highly: "Positive, inclusive, & helpful environment" "Excellent benefits, strong union, great training infrastructure, & wealth of institutional knowledge to support your work" Responsibilities: Prepare general ledger account reconciliations & analyze data for accuracy Assist with day-to-day reconciliations, transactions, & accounts payable responsibilities Prep financial statements, budgets, & forecasts Assist with posting journal entries, month end close, & cash flow analysis Process vendor invoices & expense reimbursements Assist in preparing budget-related materials & supporting documents required for submission to funders Track revenue for each funding source via accrual adjustments, posting checks, & electronic transfers Qualifications: 2+ years of non-profit accounting experience Tech savvy - Strong excel & accounting software skills are a plus!
