Junior Accountant Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team at a respected non-profit organization in Yonkers, NY. Position Overview The Junior Accountant will be responsible for recording revenue transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with various accounting functions. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Key Responsibilities Record revenue transactions into the accounting software Perform monthly reconciliations of deposits, credit card, and checking accounts Import journal entries from Ticketing and Retail Sales Systems on a monthly basis Export Payment Gateway and Settlement reports weekly Create journal entries for miscellaneous transactions, deposits, and wire transfers as needed Assist with monthly general ledger account reconciliations Support Monthly and Quarterly Sales Tax Filing processes Respond to customer inquiries received by the Ticketing Department Track chargebacks and submit responses Investigate and address discrepancies in the accounting books Qualifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite Solid organizational and time management abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team #INNOV2024
