Job Responsibilities Reporting to the Cherokee Campus Administrator, the Administrative Specialist provides administrative support services and day-to-day operations support to the Cherokee County Campus personnel. Serves as primary cashier for this campus and is the primary coordinator for facility management. - Develops and prepares forms, reports, presentations, and special projects through appropriate computer software skills; develops and maintains a functional hardcopy and/or electronic filing system. Assists with preparing and submitting purchase requisitions; assists with maintaining inventory of supplies and form submissions for campus operations; prepares and coordinates mailouts; services and performs minor maintenance/repairs on copier and printers at Cherokee County Campus. - Provides administrative and clerical support services for the daily operations of the Cherokee County Campus. Serves as primary problem solver for day to-day activities. Provides administrative support to student services, student ambassadors, maintenance, campus safety, IT, and other key support personnel. - Serves as receptionist for the Cherokee County Campus by greeting and directing visitors, taking incoming phone calls, and routing messages. - Assists Student Services with campus functions, including registration, recruitment activities, and workshops; assists with offsite activities and community events; coordinates, when necessary, with local partners. - Serves as cashier for the Cherokee County Campus, using Colleague software, or other standard software used by the central campus Business Office, for data input. Balance cash drawer, reconciles daily totals with computer printout at the end of each day, and prepares bank deposits as required. Communicates balance and financial aid information to students and provides instruction where needed for account understanding. Works closely with the Business Office to resolve any discrepancies between student accounts. Minimum and Additional Requirements High school diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications A bachelor's degree in a related field and two years related work experience.
