We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our diverse operations, including two real estate entities and our manufacturing operation. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial processes for the organization. You'll spend approximately 25-30% of your time on property management tasks and 70-75% as the sole accountant for our small manufacturing company. You'll also assist with general ledger closing processes for a larger manufacturing operation. You will have the opportunity to: Accounts Receivable & Payable: Process invoices to customers and tenants, receive and apply deposits to appropriate accounts, and prepare vendor checks for mailing. Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements using QuickBooks and detailed account reconciliation statements. GL Support: Collaborate with the senior accountant of our larger manufacturing company to support the monthly close process, including journal entries, GL account reconciliation, and maintaining accruals and pre-payments. Expense Analysis: Analyze expense accounts and inventory, ensuring accuracy in day-to-day operations. What we're looking for: Experience: 3-5 years of accounting/finance experience in a corporate environment. Education: bachelor's degree in accounting or finance/CPA certification, preferred Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to maintain confidentiality. Software Proficiency: Experience with QuickBooks; familiarity with Visual Manufacturing or similar ERP software is a plus.
