The Controller- Functional Packaging (North America) isresponsible for the oversight of all accounting, financial reporting andplanning activities of the Functional Packaging business, with a turnover $45M.This role requires being proactive and strong communication to ensure theaccuracy of financial information, implement best practices, and providecritical support for business decisions. This role reports to the FinanceDirector - Functional Packaging (FP) and will be based in Harleysville, PA atColorcon's Global Headquarters. Functional Packaging is a division of Colorcon, a USheadquartered global manufacture of pharmaceutical drug core and coatings. FPdevelops and manufactures a broad portfolio of controlled atmosphere packagingsolutions for pharmaceutical and healthcare companies to protect products frommoisture and oxygen. Functional Packaging has a global footprint with fivemanufacturing facilities - the largest facility in France, Belen nearAlbuquerque, NM, two in China, and one in India. Responsibilities & Duties Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reports, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards, Management Reporting and regulatory requirements. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports. Report and communicate performance to FP Leadership. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Oversee the Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices. Manage the Accounts Receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables. Implement and maintain policies and procedures to streamline AP/AR processes and improve cash flow. Internal Controls and Compliance: Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations. Support external and internal audits and local tax filings. Cost Accounting: Business partner to the Belen site Manager, providing financial and strategic guidance. Oversight of Belen financial accounting and cost accounting systems. and analysis of manufacturing activity. Provide efficiency and cost reduction recommendations, supporting process improvement initiatives. Financial Planning and Analysis: Support global FP planning processes specific to the NA ledger. Perform financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and decision-making. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance within the finance department. Ensure data integrity and leverage technology to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree inaccounting, finance, or related field required. CPA or CMA preferred. Minimum of 7 years ofprogressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisoryrole within the manufacturing industry required. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP,financial reporting, and compliance requirements. Experience with SAP required;experience with Oracle - Hyperion Planning preferred. Advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical,problem-solving, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability tolead a team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong business acumenwith the ability to understand and influence key business drivers. WorkingLocation This position is based in Harleysville, PA with a hybrid officerequirement of up to 3 days in office per week. Working remotely from ahome office will be facilitated when applicable and is at the manager'sdiscretion. Travel: up to 10% travelmay be required, annually.
