firstPRO is seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and hold a CCNA or CCNP certification. This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure, with a focus on Cisco technologies, security, and virtual environments. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of Nexus switches, firewalls, routers, SD-WAN, VLANs, and cloud networking. This role is a direct hire opportunity and has a hybrid work model.Responsibilities:Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN solutions.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues to maintain optimal performance and reliability.Configure and manage Cisco Nexus switches and VLANs, ensuring high availability and efficient traffic flow.Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewall policies and VPN configurations.Collaborate on cloud networking solutions within virtual environments to support our cloud-based initiatives.Conduct regular network performance assessments and capacity planning.Maintain documentation of network configurations, changes, and maintenance logs.Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.Qualifications:5+ years of experience in network engineering.CCNA or CCNP certification required.Expertise with Cisco technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN).Strong experience with Nexus switches and VLAN configuration.Knowledge of network security protocols and firewall management.Familiarity with cloud networking and virtual environments.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong documentation and communication skills.Preferred Skills:Experience with SD-WAN solutions.Knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
