Title : Senior Accountant, Consolidations Position Summary The consolidations team is the final step in closing the financial books monthly and preparing financial statements for internal and external purposes. This is a hands-on role that touches all areas of the financial statements and interfaces with regional teams around the world to consolidate the financials, analyze the results, and prepare internal and external reporting. Key Areas of Responsibility Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries, reviewing transactions and monthly/quarterly consolidation accounting tasks including intercompany-related activity Prepare and submit monthly financial reports Coordinate year-end post close process Prepare balance sheet reconciliations Coordinate a monthly correcting entry review with the regional accounting teams Send and manage quarterly request lists Assist with cash flow statement preparation Prepare and file periodic government/census reports Prepare SOX internal controls self-testing and documentation of that testing for the consolidations group. Liaise with internal audit to provide access to the controls testing documentation and answer general questions Assist external auditors and internal auditors with their reviews of the financial consolidations processes Prepare quarterly global balance sheet fluctuation analysis Assist in any other special projects as requested Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Actively working on obtaining CPA license 2-3 years of related corporate accounting experience in a large multinational company Experience in US GAAP accounting and reporting Microsoft Excel intermediate user Strong analytical skills, ability to research issues in a complex accounting structure to resolve problems; detail-oriented, yet able to identify issues and grasp concepts at broader level Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to multi-task within large data sets and work with minimal direction Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with all levels of management, including communicating accounting concepts to non-accounting users Ability to work within defined time constraints and within deadlines during month end financial close while driving longer-term projects to successful completion Preferred Qualifications Licensed CPA Prior experience with international consolidations accounting Interaction/presentations with senior management Salary Range: $75,200.00 - $112,800.00 Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job.
