Independent Medical Equipment seeks a dedicated ServiceRepair Technician to join our team, providing expert repair services for essential mobility equipment. If you are detail-oriented, solution-driven, and enjoy working independently and collaboratively, this role is for you!Primary FunctionThe ServiceRepair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of durable medical equipment (DME). This includes manual wheelchairs, tilt-in-space wheelchairs, lift chairs, hospital beds, scooters, and consumer power wheelchairs (Group 2).Key ResponsibilitiesRespond promptly to service calls and perform repairs in the office or in the field.Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, including troubleshooting over the phone when possible.Conduct repairs on rental fleet equipment and customer-purchased municate with manufacturers to resolve repair or troubleshooting issues.Process return authorizations (RAs) and warranty replacements for defective items.Maintain an organized inventory of parts, batteries, and stock items needed for the service department.Track and manage warranty claims, ensuring timely and accurate replacements.Attend manufacturer repair training to stay current with equipment updates and best practices.Provide excellent customer service when interacting with patients and referral sources.Assist in completing work orders, including researching components, preparing quotes, and coordinating with insurance providers.Required ExperienceTechnical Background: 1-3 years of experience in a repair technician role, preferably in durable medical equipment or a related field.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deliver patient-focused anizational Skills: Ability to manage inventory, process service calls, and prioritize tasks effectively.Position Overview:Job Title: ServiceRepair TechnicianLocation: Tavares, FL.Job Type: Full-time, M-F 40 hoursCompensation: $17.00 per hour, or higher based on experienceBenefits: Health and dental coverage, 401K, and a supportive work-life balanceJoin us at Independent Medical Equipment to play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch service and care to individuals relying on mobility solutions!
