Job Summary: The Senior Wealth Advisor role at GSAM is designed for a strategic, business-driven individual with a competitive edge, an aptitude for rapid problem-solving, and a commitment to expanding client relationships. This position emphasizes client acquisition, relationship management, and driving growth initiatives while maintaining high standards of client satisfaction through exceptional service and effective delegation. To support ongoing business development, the advisor will attend most client meetings but will also focus on integrating an experienced co-advisor into each relationship, allowing for time to pursue new growth opportunities. Success in this role involves managing a team of internal providers and leveraging collaborative efforts to ensure seamless service. Key Responsibilities: Build a strong network to acquire new clients and engage centers of influence. Represent GSAM's culture and philosophy in all client interactions. Create and implement a personal sales and marketing plan to generate new client relationships and increase assets under management. Collaborate with senior management to align the firm's sales and marketing strategies. Conduct meetings with prospective clients, leading to successful business acquisition. Engage frequently with clients and their external professionals (e.g., tax and estate advisors) to provide coordinated wealth management. Showcase a strong understanding of investments and market trends to guide and educate clients. Prepare for and lead client meetings, including those with institutional boards. Coordinate with associate advisors and internal support to provide seamless service. Utilize knowledge of estate planning, tax, and philanthropic strategies to offer well rounded solutions. Collaborate with clients' other financial professionals when specialized expertise is needed. Establish investment goals and strategies tailored to clients' risk tolerance and objectives. Serve as an active member of the firm's Investment Committee Effectively communicate the impact of portfolio performance on clients' financial goals. Qualifications: Bachelor's or advanced degree in a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA, CPA, CIMA) preferred, or significant progress toward these. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail in written correspondence. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with experience in leadership or coaching preferred. Series 65/66 license required (or to be obtained post-employment); Series 7 not sponsored. Proficiency with software such as Tamarac Advisor View and CRM, eMoney, and Morningstar Direct is a plus. Why Join Us?
