Maintenance Mechanic RolePerforms preventive maintenance inspections, troubleshooting, calibrations and service on machines, pumps, motors, facilities equipment, and building systems, including HVAC units. • Rebuilds pumps and other production equipment. Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance. Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts. • Minor electrical troubleshooting and installations (outlets, switches, and lights) • Plumbing work: run copper lines, pipe threading, repair & install plumbing fixtures • Work with CMMS system entering and closing WO's and entering equipment and PM to CMMS system. • Compliance with all relevant FDA, SQF and OSHA procedures and regulations. Maintain a neat and orderly work area at all times. • Follow all safety rules and SOP's, while maintaining clean and organized work area with an accident and on-the-job injury free record. • Properly complete documentation including maintenance forms and equipment logbooks. • Perform other maintenance work as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager. • VocationalTechnical Schooling andor Training in one or more maintenance crafts (plumbingmechanicalelectrical). • Must have a good mechanical aptitude and have good verbal and written communication skills. • 2+ years of maintenance experience in an Industrial Manufacturing environment • Troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment (i.e. Pumps, Mixers, Motors etc.) • Minor electrical troubleshooting and installations (outlets, switches, and lights) • Plumbing: copper pipe, pipe threading, soldering, use of Pro press tools. • Knowledge of welding, HVAC systems and lean principles a plus. • 2 + years of work experience executing work tasks in a P.M. Program. • Basic Computer Skills. • Advanced level abilities for maintaining, troubleshooting, problem solving, and repairing production equipment. • Time management skills, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines. • Work in a team atmosphere with other maintenance and production workers with good interpersonal and communication skills. Effectively interact with different functional groups. • Proficient in the use of hand & power tools. • Ability to handle physical workload and lift up to 50lbs. • Ability to work overtime as required • Ability to use scissor lift equipment, drive a forklift and floor cleaning equipment. • May at times be required to work in tightconfined spaces.
