Job Summary: Salas O'Brien is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to implement energy consulting and commissioning services for large institutional clients. Job duties include: Prepare commissioning plans Review commissioning specifications Review equipment submittals and controls sequences of operation Develop pre-functional checklists and functional test procedures Conduct equipment installation and construction site inspections Prepare and issue construction field reports Execute and witness performance functional testing Develop and maintain commissioning documentation including issues log, systems manual and commissioning report Conduct retro-commissioning of existing buildings for NYC Local Law 87 compliance Support energy audits and detailed feasibility studies Provide troubleshooting and facilities support assistance Minimum Qualifications: U.S. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Energy Systems, Energy Management, or a closely related field, or the foreign degree equivalent 3 years' experience in the job offered (HVAC Controls background preferred) Experience with functional performance testing on mechanical and HVAC&R systems Experience performing commissioning design drawing and specification reviews Experience troubleshooting facility issues and implementing corrective actions This is a full-time position. Benefits include a health insurance plan, a 401K profit sharing plan, and PTO. The position offers competitive compensation with an anticipated annual salary range of $90,000to $125,000, based on candidate experience.
