z/OS Systems Programmer

z/OS Systems Programmer whose primary responsibility will include: Ongoing maintenance (install, patching, upgrades, administration, etc.,) of the mainframe z/OS operating system , accompanying storage systems and systems software products (e.g., database, transaction server, security management, scheduling, report distribution, etc.), and UNIX Systems Services . Ongoing maintenance and upgrades of DB2 . Upgrades of mainframe and related storage . The candidate will be required to provide production off hour coverage (if necessary) and support periodic weekend implementations. Experience / Preferred Qualifications: The candidate must have experience with VTAM and TCP/IP . 10+ years of experience working with z/OS, JES2, SMP/E, TSO, IOCP/HCD . Basic IBM utilities ( IDCAMS, IEFBR14 , etc.) program product installations, working knowledge or the IBM virtual tape system and Unix System Services. Working knowledge of CICS, IMS, DB2 and AFP printing is a plus. Experience in using monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON . Working with an enterprise wide, large-scale implementation . Excellent communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
