Summary: Support plant operations to deliver high-quality products at the lowest cost through a proactive approach to maintain plant equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (The essential functions include, but are not limited to) Record all maintenance and repair services performed and keep track of all materials and parts used during the repair process Test and observe equipment and machinery using tools such as voltmeters and other testing devices to diagnose malfunctions and make repairs as needed Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial equipment and machinery to ensure they're always in proper working order Dismantle machinery or equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and plumb bobs Assembles machinery and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools Proficient in the use of all Shop equipment: Band Saw, Brake, Drill Press, Vise, Press, Belt Sander, etc. Required repair and lubricate of machinery and equipment Utilizes cables, ropes, chains, pulleys, winches, blocks, and shelves, according to the weight and size of the load to be moved Attaches load with grappling devices, such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains, to crane hook Sets up, braces, and rigs hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches Installing or removing special equipment, grinder, power, and hand tools, etc Maintaining a record of all the work completed to facilitate the accounting activities Support and communicate with production personnel to identify and correct problem areas negatively impacting production Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions Actively participate in Preventative Maintenance activities and routine machine rebuild activities Follow all safety policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: To perform this job successfully the individual must have the following or equivalent: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Must have effective written and verbal communication skills in English Must be a good problem solver, a good listener, and be hands-on Be able to prioritize multiple issues Extrusion, plastics, or recycling experience a plus Having some electronic background, a plus ```{=html} ``` - 1st Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM - 2nd Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
