Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - GAAP/Auditing Location: Phoenix, AZ Job Summary We seek a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in GAAP, auditing, and financial management for complex commercial and industrial projects, including those in the nuclear and power sectors. This role is based in Phoenix, AZ, and offers the opportunity to lead financial strategies for high-impact projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving financial stability. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in accounting practices, financial reporting, and audit management, focusing on accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth. Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership on financial planning, risk management, and investment opportunities. Oversee and ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and lead the preparation of audits. Ensure accurate financial statements and reports, maintaining transparency and compliance with industry regulations. Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures across commercial and industrial projects, including those in the nuclear and power sectors. Implement and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities. Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred. 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including CFO or senior financial management roles, focusing on GAAP and auditing. Proven experience with commercial and industrial projects, including expertise in the nuclear and power industries. Strong understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and risk management. A local and stable work history is required, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth and long-term success. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels.
