Senior Underwriting Officer - Property, US Middle Market Hartford, CT | Boston, MA | Stamford, CT | Exton, PA | Philadelphia, PA | New York, NY | Chicago, IL | USA As a newly established business division of AXA XL Americas, our Middle Market business focuses on the expansion of AXA XL's current offerings to mid-sized clients in the US Commercial P&C market.  As a Senior Underwriting Officer - Property supporting the Middle Market organization, you will play an integral role in AXA XL's drive towards profitable growth.   You will leverage your technical expertise and underwriting experience in Property lines of business with deep understanding of the marketplace to enrich our underwriting expertise and differentiate our offering in market. DISCOVER your opportunity What will your essential responsibilities include? Work in close collaboration with Product and Underwriting counterparts as well as broker partners to identify and develop products, key coverages, and endorsements that will differentiate our offering in the market within your assigned industry segments Drive underwriting strategy and risk selection through understanding of the competitive marketplace, preferred risk characteristics, lessons from loss trends, and competitor offering.          Provide account-level support to underwriters and leverage referral authority to enable profitable growth and a balanced book of business in preferred segments.  Establish excellent working relationships with cross-functional groups including Claims, Compliance, Regulatory, Legal and other functions to engage and collaborate on issues related to the Casualty Lines of business Work on behalf of Middle Market team and underwriters as liaison on compliance topics, review all regulatory and compliance components of products the business intends to write, and advise on any business strategies that require input from regulatory or compliance Represent AXA XL as a subject matter expert and thought leader at industry conferences enabling the organization to see around corners and stay ahead of industry trends and emerging risks You will report to the Head of Product & Analytics.
