ROLE PURPOSE As the HRBP, you will provide strategic, commercial and operational Human Resources advice to support the business in making effective workforce decisions. In this role, you will partner with relevant stakeholders and use people analytics to coach, guide and advise on organizational design, talent management, employee relations, learning and development, reward and risk management. You will collaborate with the broader regional HR team to provide local insights to ensure Centers of Excellence (CoE) are able to design programs and activities that are fit for purpose, as well as implementing, managing and evaluating HR projects and activities across the portfolio. This role will primarily focus on our Retail population, with some travel required across the East Coast cluster. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Workforce Planning and Business Partnership Work in partnership with the Head of HR and Commercial Director to identify the people implications of business plans Establish trust to build relationships and utilize a consulting process in influencing leaders to address HR needs and business objectives Assess and anticipate HR-related needs and build/execute strategies to address; including but not limited to employee engagement, succession planning, performance management, and talent development Monitor key people KPIs and organizational health indicators; adjust strategies to continuously drive top performance Using data and insights, partner with Managers to undertake organizational design that ensures efficiency, simplicity and collaboration Promote diversity & inclusion across the business, be the brand ambassador for employees and local communities Acts as an advocate for employees creating and fostering a best-in-class work environment Partners with HR team to coordinate the development and implementation of programs, systems, and processes Analyzes reporting to understand how and where to support the business strategy and to drive business results Talent Management Support internal mobility with strategic career path mapping and succession planning Design & deliver targeted people solutions to changing business and talent needs as retail industry evolves; be ahead of the curve in predicting future talent and leadership needs Lead organizational design for the East Coast commercial team and head office in partnership with the Head of Human Resources and key stakeholders Implement initiatives to address regrettable turnover and systemically improve retention In partnership with leadership, develop and formulate plans on improving staff engagement levels Work with talent acquisition and training team to assess needs (new hires, people managers, ongoing development), shape content and champion platforms with teams Support Managers and staff to identify training, development and career advancement opportunities in line with the growth and the direction of the organization Conduct and implement Year End process and the local remuneration review process annually Support leadership with reward planning and assist with conversations Lead Annual Review process for region - manage consistency and completion Employee Relations Management: Ensure policies and procedures are up to date, reflective of legislation and be proactive and able to effectively protect the business; Ensures compliance regarding Company policy and federal/state employment law Manage escalated underperformance, misconduct and grievances matters ensuring that disciplinary action is fair and reasonable Liaise with Legal for complex employee relations cases, using proper escalation methods to determine next steps Work proactively with Retail management to minimize employee relations issues. Conduct investigations or interventions to mitigate/resolve problems when necessary Approve and administer disciplinary actions Ensure adherence with all HR policies, as well as employment-related legal, regulatory and compliance requirements Provides guidance to managers and employees for HR related concerns including lower risk associate relations and the performance management Employee Experience Management Directly manage and coach Employee Experience Coordinator. Drive career development, performance and year end conversations Actively support with the employee experience initiatives, onboarding, office management, wellbeing and events for the Americas Manage yearly budget in partnership with Finance for all office needs Provide feedback and guidance for processes to improve employee engagement capabilities KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrable progressive experience including HR Business Partner or HR Manager, with a track record of managing complex ER cases as well as partnering with the business on all aspects of employee lifecycle activities Experience within the retail, customer service, hospitality, with fast paced growth retail environment preferred Experience in employee engagement, talent management, organizational development and leadership development Demonstrated experience in change management best practices including experience supporting change initiative Demonstrated knowledge and command of local legislation and employment law Demonstrated experience bringing forward valuable insights through HR analytics Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment in a global organization Understanding of Aesop's approach and a passion for the brand Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality What's On Offer The salary for this position is $110,000-135,000 We take a holistic approach to employment, promoting professional development, career growth, employee wellbeing initiatives and encouraging deep connections with the local community through the Aesop Foundation, volunteering and matched giving programs.
