Financial & Vendor Manager

Job Title:  Financial & Vendor Manager Salary Range:  $70,000 - $80,000 Location:  Midtown, Manhattan - In-Person Job Description: We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Specialty Subcontractor to manage key financial and vendor-related tasks within our construction business. The ideal candidate will be tough, self-managing, and goal-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Management: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP). Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and ensure timely processing of payments. Manage job costing and accounting to ensure projects stay within budget. 2. Vendor Sourcing & Management: Source vendors and purchase building materials, securing the best terms possible. Maintain effective communication with vendors to ensure timely payments and deliveries. Identify and secure a competent salesperson to manage tool sales at wholesale pricing. 3. Invoicing & Collections: Prepare and issue invoices promptly. Follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collections. Manage and organize all invoices from vendors 4. Insurance & Compliance: Manage all insurance policies, including umbrella policies and workers' compensation. Ensure all required insurances are up-to-date and compliant with industry regulations. 5. Expense Management: Monitor and manage expenses to maintain financial efficiency. Ensure all financial activities are documented and reported accurately. Qualifications: Strong background in financial management, especially in AR/AP and bookkeeping. Experience in sourcing vendors and negotiating favorable terms. Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and ensure timely payments. Familiarity with job costing, invoicing, and collections. Knowledge of insurance policies and compliance within the construction industry. Ability to work independently, with tough, thick skin, and a strong drive to achieve goals.
