Job Description: As a Tax Manager, you will be called upon to deliver professional services to clients, including consulting, tax planning, compliance, and research. This will involve performing management activities on engagements and will require the ability to manage numerous projects independently. You will be developing high level relationships with clients, prospects, and referral sources, and performing detailed tasks on engagements while delegating and supervising others. Our tax practice has a focus on C-corporation and partnership taxation. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in one or both, of these disciplines. Responsibilities: * Your role will include identifying and implementing tax planning and consulting opportunities, preparation and review of client tax calculations, management of client tax relationships and supervising and developing staff. Must have the ability to manage client relationships, multiple projects and meet deadlines. * Manage, direct and monitor multiple client engagements as well as serve as a business advisor to the client. * Formulate and deliver innovative tax planning and tax savings strategies. * Research and consult on complex tax matters. * Ability to manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment. * Work with state-of-the-art equipment. Qualifications: BS in Accounting required. Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend. Experience in corporate tax provisions both review and preparation to include public company annual and quarterly tax provisions Strong knowledge in general tax principals, with deeper knowledge in the 300, 700 and 1500 sections of the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations Experience with corporate and partnership acquisitions and dispositions a plus CPA required. Ability to manage and grow strong client relationships. Effective writing, communication and tax research skills. Recent experience in public accounting. Proven engagement and staff management a plus. Experience with tax technology a plus. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
