Our Client is Home/Kitchen Licensee Product Company in NYC. They are seeking a strong Wholesale Sales candidate who has current wholesale sales experience with Top Grocers, etc. The role is on site full time in NYC. Overview: Our client is looking for a dynamic, motivated, professional to join a new retail wholesale sales team to tap into new accounts while also growing existing businesses. The new Sales Manager role will partner with and support the Vice President of Sales to ensure that all aspects of the sales functions are effectively managed, ranging from strategy creation and implementation to in-flight evaluation and iteration, across both Brick and Mortar and Ecommerce channels. This role requires an understanding of basic retail analytics along with a passion for product and process standardization. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve wholesale sales targets and to maximize revenue and profit margin growth. • Assist in identifying and cultivating relationships with existing accounts while actively soliciting new leads within the current categories of business; strategically map account opportunities through short term and long-term planning. • Analyze sales statistics, prepare reports, and handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, making travel plans and assisting with customer meetings & set up. • Data entry tasks will include various set up reports for internal / external needs, customer entry forms for new items and purchase order tracking and follow up, along with any other associated entry tasks. • Responsible for ensuring timely follow up through accurate engagement recaps and proper time management; Partners with internal teams to provide clear and timely information towards goal execution. • Actively participate in calendar alignment among accounts, identifying customer input / outputs along with key trigger dates & milestones to ensure all aspects of deliverables are clearly met on time and accurately. • This individual is responsible for calendarizing, organizing and delivering detailed competitive landscape reviews to identify whitespace category opportunities among key and emerging accounts. • Serves as a trustworthy and credible liaison within, and outside of, the organization. Keeps impacted stakeholders informed of issues and articulates context with a plan for resolution. • Able to communicate performance in measurable terms and maintain accountability for the team and business performance. Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in related field (business administration, marketing, etc). • 3-5 years of retail buying experience and/or wholesale sales in kitchenwares. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Word required. • Ability to multitask and manage to deadlines independently. • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail - able to operate efficiently in a fast-paced autonomous environment.
