Job Type Full-time Description The Director of Operations will oversee the entire Sal's Pizza division and be responsible for driving results within the group of stores owned and operated by Lupoli Companies. The selected candidate will be adept at reading financial reports and translating trends into actionable results within the Sal's Pizza division. The Director of Operations will lead a wide range of people initiatives, including the support of managing high-performance Sal's Pizza store teams in a high-growth environment, identifying, and addressing training and developmental opportunities, along with providing mentorship and training in performance management. The selected candidate will oversee staffing, revenue growth, cost and margin control, service standards, along with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals throughout the Sal's Pizza division. Primary Responsibilities: •Oversee and lead the Sal's Pizza division day-to-day operations owned and operated by Lupoli Companies. •Responsible for overseeing all operational, corporate, and supply chain leadership within the Sal's Pizza division. •Has the ability to handle any problems that arise during the day and resolve them in a quick and timely fashion. •Responsible for supporting the VP of Sal's Pizza Operations and Development and senior management team in all aspects of Sal's Pizza division growth, through strategic and operational planning. •Responsible for ensuring effective operating procedures across the Sal's Pizza division in order to increase current store sales as a whole and assist with developing new locations. •Evaluate current and proposed systems / procedures and determine and implement changes as necessary. •Oversee the Sal's Pizza division budget and maintain adequate financial records and cost reports. Implementing strict budgetary controls on the department and controlling its functions is a primary responsibility. •Adept at transitioning seamlessly from a strategic level to vision, to day-to-day tactical operations throughout the Sal's Pizza stores. •Responsible for analyzing forecast data and making judgments to ensure proper payroll and production control. (KPI Management) •Maintain controllable expenses and establish effective cost control systems. (Portion Control / Recipe management) •Develop and execute creative growth initiatives; including strategies to generate and enhance revenue throughout the Sal's Pizza restaurants. •Management of Sal's Pizza leadership team, which includes undertaking training and personal development as necessary to meet organizational objectives. This also includes defining roles, the scope of responsibility, and the distribution of work as needed. •Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to the health, safety, and labor requirements of the store employees and guests. •Achieve company objectives in sales, service, food cost, labor cost, and quality. In addition, the appearance of operation, sanitation, and cleanliness through training of employees and by creating a positive, productive working environment. •Partner with the Human Resources department to maintain effective staffing levels through recruitment, training, retention, career development, diversity, and the identification of high potential talent that supports the organization's future growth and expansion. •Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for all infringements of company policies, rules, and procedures. •Responsible for protecting brand standards in areas such as food safety, restaurant cleanliness, repair, and maintenance by routinely advising leadership teams on areas of opportunity and strategies for maintaining excellence. •Other duties as assigned by the VP Sal's Pizza Operations and Development. •Garner a high level of functional understanding regarding POS and Back of the House software to include inventory management applications. •Handles all permitting / licensing related responsibilities. •Knowledge of the latest market conditions in our industry. •Stays vigilant of the competitive landscape and performs comparison analysis on a regular basis. Requirements •GED/High School diploma required. •Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in a District Manager capacity or leading multiple restaurants at a time. •Minimum of 5+ years of related hospitality work experience. Food service management experience required. •Serve Safe certification required. •Customer service knowledgeable. •Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite. •Strong organizational and time management skills. •Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. •Strong verbal and written communication skills. •High-level professionalism and standard of a positive attitude, behavior, and appearance. •Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. •Demonstrated commitment to compliance with all laws, regulations, and business ethics. •Available seven days per week including holidays and weekends.
