Fyda Freightliner Columbus is the largest retailer of new and used Expediters in the United States. Serving the Columbus transportation industry hub since 1985, we operate as a full-service commercial truck dealership and body shop.Technician Responsibilities:Completes service and repair assignments efficiently, safely, and correctly to pass quality ply with company safety policies and municate directly with shop foreman regarding the status of the repair work.Continuously learn new technical information and techniques.Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently plans repair process.Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.Participates in all required safety meetings.Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using air tools and hand tools.Directs the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions and explains procedures to assistant.QualificationsTechnician Qualifications:Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.Working knowledge of shop equipment.Basic Heavy and Medium Duty Truck knowledge.Maintains sufficient personally owned tools.Ability to work independently.Detail oriented and quality driven.Must be able to pass a criminal background check, physical exam, and drug screen.Fyda Benefits:Excellent pay based on experienceSalary + CommissionSuperior bonus programPaid time offPaid holidaysPaid uniformsPaid hospitalization & prescription programExcellent 401K programsDental insurance availableFlex spending availableOn-going Freightliner, Detroit and Cummins trainingFreightliner and Detroit Diesel factory trained in-house instructorGreat working atmosphereDrug free workplaceSign on bonus
