The Opportunity Portsmouth, NH based private investment and wealth advisory firm, is offering a paid internship opportunity to a qualified student that coincides with the academic "summer break". The internship is a temporary full-time, non-exempt hourly position, to be conducted on-site in the Firm's Portsmouth, NH office with a defined time commitment (a target start and end date to be mutually agreed upon by us and the selected student before the commencement of the internship). Project/Essential Duties You will work on investment research projects relating to a specific industry and/or company, as assigned. During this time, you will work with and report to designated project mentors, who are senior members of the Firm and its Investment Policy Committee (IPC), to establish framework and set expectations for each project. You will be expected to meet periodically with the project mentor to provide status updates, address questions, and to determine if content is presentable/actionable by the broader IPC. Ultimately you will develop an investment thesis with recommendations for presentation to the IPC. You may also be assigned other investment-related tasks and ad-hoc projects, as determined on an as-needed basis.
