Job Summary: Position Overview The mid-market and small client segment team leader will oversee and manage the financial, operational, and client service aspects of the East team's small and mid-market client segment for Global People Solutions. This leader will provide strategic guidance, drive client engagement, and support the development of standardized processes and deliverables for client teams. Additionally, the small and mid-market client segment leader will ensure the consistent application of the firm's "We Live Service" culture, effectively collaborate across departments, and be a change leader within the practice. This role reports to the East Region Consulting team leader who reports to the East Region lead. Core Responsibilities Client Strategy & Leadership Support in the decision-making for complex client engagements. Act as the primary point of escalation for client challenges for your team and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Engage with senior client leaders, C-Suite executives, Producers, and Series leaders to foster strong client partnerships. Manage the profitability and scope of the team's book of business. Ensure data integrity of the regional book of business within Salesforce. Operational Excellence Support onboarding of new client engagements and ensure the adoption of standardized processes and client deliverables. Maintain high standards for data management, tracking, and reporting in Salesforce. Contribute to the development of new methodologies, tools, or services to enhance the firm's offerings. People Management & Development Mentor and guide Associate Consultants, Consultants and Sr. Consultants within your team, supporting their career development. Develop staffing plans and ensure workflow processes to serve clients while creating appropriate work life balance. Demonstrate people management skills, including staffing client teams, anticipating future needs, and developing team capabilities. Partner with other team leaders to implement strategies to enhance service efficiency and drive revenue growth. Communication & Collaboration Display strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address client needs and business challenges. Communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating active listening skills and an appropriate tone. Work effectively across departments to provide integrated solutions to meet client needs. Share relevant information with the overall Consultant Leader and Region leader in a timely manner. Technical Proficiency & Adaptability Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Customize and utilize reporting from Salesforce to support data-driven decision-making. Be a champion of technology adoption and innovation within the practice. Display adaptability by adjusting work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines. Thought Leadership & Industry Expertise Act as an industry thought leader, contributing to the LGPS practice and representing the company's values. Present effectively to senior leaders and clients, including taking on public speaking opportunities. Exhibit confidence and professionalism in all client interactions, embodying the firm's "We Live Service" philosophy. Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and organization. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to adjust messaging for different audiences. Proven ability to handle high volumes of calls, emails, and task prioritization. Effective in change management, demonstrating and teaching coping strategies during stressful times. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree preferred. Experience managing teams and developing staff Minimum of 10 years of experience in employee benefits, health & welfare, and retirement benefits At least 7 years of experience in cross-border benefits, global governance, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and multinational pooling Strong experience in data analysis, financial modeling, and presentation design Strong interpersonal skills with respect for diverse cultures and work styles Significant project management experience Management experience preferred Life, Accident & Health license required (or willingness to obtain) Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CEBS, GPHR) Proficiency in a foreign language is an asset Willingness to travel within the region as required
