Description Mativ's (Scapa brand) facility in Windsor, CT is actively seeking an experienced operations leader for their Plant Manager position. The principal responsibility is to lead, inspire and motivate the Windsor, CT site based teams thereby making a major contribution to the delivery of the company's goals. The Plant Manager is responsible for driving all aspects of the site's business performance ensuring the seamless interaction of all site functional activities, including the management of environmental health and safety, commercial opportunities, financial forecasting and accounting, operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance and legal obligations. Remaining focused on optimizing customer and shareholder value through responsible, agile delivery of our specialized solutions. responsibilities: Ensuring a safe work environment at all times for all employees within the site and any visitors to the site, while meeting legislative requirements. Providing the necessary leadership and resources to ensure that all products and services supplied by the site are at the highest possible levels, are consistent with company targets, and meeting customer specifications. Working closely with the Commercial Team and demonstrating a high level of cooperation to develop and maintain exceptional business relations with Scapa Industrial/Healthcare customers. Manage all resources towards achieving the most efficient use, including but not limited to cash, materials, labor, equipment, and natural resources. Ensure that the site consistently operates in an environmentally responsible manner meeting Scapa Industrial/Healthcare standards and legislative requirements for environmental protection. Significant involvement in the strategic development for the site in cooperation with the senior operations leaders for the Sustainable and Adhesive Solutions (SAS) business segment. This would include many aspects of site development including human resources, manufacturing processes, equipment, capabilities, distribution of goods, etc. Manage/oversee all site operational costs including annual budgeting, re-forecasts, and monthly reporting to senior leadership. Effective development of human resources within the site including but not limited to training, career development, succession planning, discipline, and compensation. Promote effective risk management including the accurate and timely maintenance of all site based risk profiles in accordance with company policy. Ensuring that all site owned risks are managed and actively monitor the resolution of agreed actions via the company's' tracking processes. qualifications: Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with emphasis on Business Management, sciences and/or finance/HR Entrepreneurial spirit/business minded to drive sales and develop creative solutions to get orders Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of a diverse organization Minimum 5+ years of Operations Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), quality registrations (ISO14001 / ISO9001 / ISO13485) and FDA regulations for medical device contract manufacturing Proven ability to manage broad spectrum manufacturing facilities in a capital intensive environment supplying demanding markets in industrial/healthcare Proven ability to manage cost control and inventory management Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing Desirable Skills / Experience / Qualifications: MBA or Similar Degree Six Sigma Certified Green or Black Belt preferred Computer literacy such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Corporate IT systems such as SAP Previous experience with converting, materials/adhesive technologies, printing, automated packaging and sterilization validation Previous experience with application of automation to processes Strong working knowledge of US labor laws and requirements
