For more information visit: Job Summary: The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) role within its Industrial Technologies and Services (ITS) Business Unit will be responsible for sales growth and business development activities for air treatment solutions, to include air dryers, process chillers, nitrogen generators, oil-water separators, both new sales and rentals in the Midwestern US. The Regional Sales Manager will utilize their technical expertise in how the equipment is utilized in the market and will work closely with channel partners to cultivate, foster, and grow the presence of our products in the marketplace. Establishing and growing the distributor and OEM business relationships, growing revenue and market share for the portfolio, and maintaining profit margins are key for this role. Responsibilities: Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Craft and implement comprehensive strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market presence in the Midwest region. Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities and underserved geographies. Channel Partner Management: Oversee the Distribution/Channel Partner network, acting as the primary contact for distributors and guiding their sales and service activities. Recruitment and Mentorship: Identify, recruit, and mentor new and existing channel partners, fostering their sales capabilities and ensuring alignment with business goals. Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate progress, address gaps, and refine strategies. Collaboration: Work closely with ITS Support teams, Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Product Management to optimize pricing, product launches, and customer satisfaction. Pipeline Development: Maintain an active opportunity pipeline, pursue competitive conversion opportunities, and provide accurate forecasting and reporting. Customer Engagement: Build strong customer relationships, gather and communicate the voice of the customer (VOC), and represent market needs to leadership. Requirements: Demonstrated experience using data to drive distributors behavior and success. Understanding of principles of air compression and/or air treatment, and applications. Understanding of commercial terms including payment terms, receivables, shipping terms, and contract terms and conditions review. Core Competencies: Regional Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic regional sales plan that aligns with business goals, targeting market opportunities, customer segments, and a roadmap to achieve objectives. Sales Process Optimization: Streamline and improve sales workflows by implementing best practices, methodologies, and standard operating procedures. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively gather, interpret, and convey product information through various channels (verbal, written, email, chat) to internal and external stakeholders. Technical/Mechanical Acumen: Read and interpret technical specifications, construction plans, and legal documents, and respond to inquiries from customers or suppliers with technical precision. Complex Problem Solving: Apply logical and analytical thinking to address diverse and practical challenges effectively. Technical Sales Expertise: Leverage technical knowledge to recommend tailored solutions that meet customer needs and advance the sales process. Preferences: Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or business with 7+ years of industrial sales through distribution experience Experience with air compressors and/or air dryers Work Arrangement and Travel Requirements: This is a remote role, with up to 60% travel as needed.
