Production Support Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled L2 Production Support Engineer with expertise in FX (Foreign Exchange) and Cross Currency Payments to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Unix, Java, PLSQL, and proficiency with monitoring tools like Datadog. This role involves providing production support for Capital Markets and Trading Applications, while implementing SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) best practices to enhance system reliability and performance. Experience with AWS services and the ability to collaborate with Trading and Risk teams is a must. Key Responsibilities: Provide L2 production support for FX and Cross Currency Payment platforms, ensuring continuous availability and reliability. Collaborate with Trading and Risk teams to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Implement SRE best practices to improve system performance, uptime, and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to production environments, ensuring minimal downtime. Automate operational processes and develop tools to enhance system monitoring, alerting, and overall efficiency. Ensure proper deployment and scaling of applications using AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda). Maintain a deep understanding of Capital Markets and Trading Applications to provide effective support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system stability and proactively address potential issues. Required Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in L2 production support with a focus on FX and Cross Currency Payments platforms. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Unix, Java, and PLSQL for troubleshooting and supporting production environments. Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog or similar. Strong understanding of Capital Markets applications and Trading applications. Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of FX and Cross Currency payment domains. AWS Exposure: Experience with AWS services for deploying, managing, and scaling applications. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues quickly and effectively. Preferred Qualifications: SRE Best Practices: Experience with implementing Site Reliability Engineering principles to optimize system performance and reliability. Automation Skills: Familiarity with automation tools and scripts to improve operational efficiency. Cloud Experience: In-depth knowledge of cloud environments, preferably AWS, and its related services. Collaboration: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, particularly Trading and Risk teams, to resolve issues. Certifications: Familiarity with relevant certifications in AWS, DevOps, or SRE is a plus. Certifications (if any): AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar AWS-related certifications are preferred. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified DevOps Engineer would be an added advantage. Education: Bachelors Degree
