Director of Finance & Business Insights About Dovly Dovly's mission is to empower everyone to get ahead financially. We are a fast-growing fintech startup that developed the first free AI credit engine to (re)build, track, and protect credit. Job Overview We are an agile, scrappy startup scaling rapidly, and we need a dynamic, strategic finance leader to drive our business forward. Our company thrives on innovation, and we are seeking someone who can think critically, oversee financial operations, and uncover opportunities through emerging data trends. You will lead the financial strategy and function, oversee the analytics team, provide thought leadership on innovative B2C SaaS metrics and trends, and guide the team while staying involved in the details. Reporting to the CEO, the ideal candidate will have a passion for data and a proven track record of delivering insights that drive business results. About you As a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, you love using data to solve problems and drive business decisions. You bring expertise in both quantitative and qualitative methods, and you're eager to wear multiple hats in a player-coach role. You excel at seeing both the big picture and the fine details, providing insights that shape the future of our company. Responsibilities: Lead the financial strategy and function, overseeing the analytics team and providing thought leadership on emerging B2C SaaS metrics and trends Guide the development and interpretation of SaaS metrics (LTV, CAC, ARPU, churn) and stay ahead of emerging industry benchmarks Present financial performance and strategic insights to investors, board members, and key stakeholders Develop and implement a data strategy aligned with company goals, offering insights on business performance, product efficiency, and customer behavior Design, implement, and evaluate experiments to test hypotheses related to marketing spend efficiency, customer acquisition costs, user lifetime value, user engagement & retention, and return on investment Provide data-driven recommendations that inform new product development Analyze the impact of pricing and monetization strategies on customer behavior and recommend improvements Lead A/B testing and other experiments to optimize pricing and marketing strategies Spearhead initiatives to integrate data science and machine learning insights into financial models. Skills required / qualifications: 5+ years of experience in finance, strategy, or analytics roles within a high-growth, B2C SaaS company. Expertise in SaaS business metrics (LTV, CAC, ARPU, churn) with a data-driven mindset and a passion for using insights to drive business growth. Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members while balancing hands-on tasks with high-level strategy. Strong analytical skills; proficient in Excel, SQL, and data analytics tools. Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift, QuickSight, and PowerBI is a plus. Experience designing scalable architectures to automate data pipelines and workflows across cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) using serverless functions, managed databases, and object storage. Experience with or strong interest in deploying machine learning models and data pipelines that handle automated queries, data processing, and trigger-based workflows is a plus Ability to deliver strategic presentations and financial narratives to senior executives, investors, and other stakeholders. Strong multitasking abilities, with a proven track record of interpreting and visualizing data in fast-paced environments. Strong understanding of A/B testing, marketplace, and freemium business models. Creative thinker and ambitious builder who thrives in dynamic environments, driving initiatives forward.
