Team Profile: Corporate Treasury provides corporate finance advisory service to senior management and internal business units. It also optimizes the Firm's liquidity and capital base, manages the Firm's foreign exchange and interest rate exposure, and coordinates relationships with regulators, rating agencies, and creditors. We offer: > Work in the Finance department of one of the world's top tier Financial Institutions and gain first-hand insight of our business > A desirable compensation and benefits package including eligibility for an annual bonus > Professional development opportunities including access to Morgan Stanley's world-class internal trainings > Enriching challenges that provide opportunity for constant learning and advancement > A supportive and vibrant diverse environment, we are inclusive of individual backgrounds and leverage them to foster our work environment and culture You will: > Work on one of the most impactful and transformational projects within the Firm by leading the development and implementation of the Firm's Legal Entity Strategy, with opportunities for exposure to senior leaders across Finance, Risk, Legal and the business units > Apply corporate finance principles in structuring and execution of strategic legal entity, business migration and booking model related projects domestically and globally > Assess the economics and financial resource impacts from business migration and large scale legal entity restructurings > Work closely with Business Units and Support Functions to identify and implement capital, liquidity and funding optimization ideas > Ensure alignment with the Firm's overall strategic objectives and conduct regular evaluations to assess the effectiveness of the strategy, making adjustments as needed > Identify and address any roadblocks or challenges that may hinder the successful execution of strategic initiatives > Monitor and track the progress of strategic initiatives, providing regular updates to key stakeholders including the Firm's CFO, Global Treasurer, Institutional Securities Group COO and Head of the US Banks > Support and execute ad-hoc requests and inquiries and provide corporate finance advisory to senior management and aid in decision making process > Communicate and manage relationships with internal and external counterparties in the US and globally > Create high impact presentations and present to senior management forums and regulators You have: > 8+ years experience in strategic planning, strategy execution, management consulting, investment banking, sales & trading, corporate treasury or a similar role > Diversity of thought > Strong understanding of business strategy, project management, and change management principle > A foundation in finance, accounting, or capital markets. Experience with balance sheets and financial impact analysis, Derivatives experience is of particular interest > Excellent analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills, including the ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity > Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders using your strong written and verbal communication skills > A strong motivation to be accountable for your work and deliver positive results by leveraging your organization and time management skills > Worked in a high-paced environment and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously > Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products > Ability to collaborate and build relationships What you can expect from Morgan Stanley: We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 85 years. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $180,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
