Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree and two (2) years of experience in Digital/IT operations or related professional area(s) may be considered. Two (2) years of full time experience in Digital or IT Operations. Experience with accessibility standards and guidelines. Experience using accessibility tools, such as WAVE, Axe, JAWS, NVDA, device-integrated screen readers (Voiceover, TalkBack), ZoomText, or similar tools. Experience with programming software, such as HTML, JAVA, Web Content Management Systems (such as OUCampus), or other software. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with WCAG 2.0 AA & WCAG2.1 AA accessibility. Experience with HECVAT or VPAT forms. Experience with the Americans with Disabilities Act and/or Section 508. Experience performing accessibility assessments, audits, compliance monitoring, & implementation of WCAG standards. Experience performing training and/or hands-on workshops. Experience working with e-procurement software, such as Jaggaer. Brief Description of Duties: The Electronic & Information Technology (EIT) Support Specialist is responsible for being the main point of contact for reviews and will involve reviewing documentation from vendors, such as Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) and Higher Education Community Vendor Assessment Tools (HECVATs), to ensure that they meet University-wide standards. The role also involves assisting with the University-Wide Procurement process. The incumbent, under the guidance of the Director of AA/EEO, ADA, and Training or the direction of the Web Accessibility Officer/EIT Coordinator, will be responsible for conducting reviews of websites, web-based applications, and digital materials using various methodologies, including automated testing tools, manual assessments, and usability tools. The incumbent must stay current with Evolving accessibility standards and evaluation procedures and advise the Office of Equity and Access (OEA) leadership of necessary updates to policies, procedures, requirements, standards, or guidelines. Serve as the primary point of contact for EIT accessibility reviews by assisting with the University-wide procurement process to promote accessible technology acquisition. Evaluate vendor documentation to ensure adherence to University accessibility standards. Responsible for conducting reviews of websites, web-based applications, and digital materials using various methodologies, including automated testing tools, manual assessments, and usability tools. Collaborate with the Web accessibility Officer/EIT Coordinator to promote digital accessibility throughout the organization and create a culture of digital accessibility. Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission. Special Notes: This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Non Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $3,400 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
