Job Description: Dewberry is currently seeking an exceptional candidate to serve as a Senior Water Resources Engineer in our Bloomfield, NJ office for a wide range of projects requiring hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, stormwater management and green infrastructure design, roadway drainage evaluation and design, waterway and bridge hydrologic/hydraulic/scours analyses, and environmental permitting. Candidates will be working primarily with state and public agencies along with several private clients, to provide a variety of water resources engineering services. Responsibilities: Communicates with internal engineers, technicians or administrative staff to share information, support training staff and perform work. Communicates with client and outside agencies as needed for performance of work. Performs technical analyses, design and evaluations. Plans and coordinates aspects of work. Supports preparation of scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments. Assists with business development and proposals to provide professional services. Required Skills & Required Experience: BS. Degree or higher in Civil Engineering (or related Engineering field), with emphasis in water resources 20 years or greater of related experience in water resources Ability to serve as subject matter expert in water resources and stormwater management PE in NJ strongly Knowledge/experience with water resources software and methodologies Engineering practice leading skills in stormwater management Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, bridge scour analysis, stormwater management, roadway drainage design for transportation-related projects. Experience with 2D hydraulic modeling Experience with NJDEP rules, regulations and permitting, especially NJDEP Flood Hazard Area Rule and Stormwater Management Rule Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability present technical and regulatory information to clients, agencies, organizations and internal teams Proficiency with basic MS Office software Driving is a requirement of the position.
