Your Role: As the Process Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process using engineering skills to assess, manage, implement, improve, or revise processes, with the goal of improving efficiency of operation, safety, and the consistency of product quality. The individual will develop procedures that facilitate the adoption of standardized processes that support future expansion. In addition, the individual will monitor the effectiveness of processes and quantifies results and presents findings to management. You will have the opportunity to: Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, and quality; resolving problems; completing time studies; identifying trends; and implementing change. Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; seminars, and trade shows. Confer with vendors, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching, and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects. Assesses, documents, and monitors existing processes. Implements and evaluates changes to existing processes designed to enhance productivity, safety, or product quality. Develops new processes as required. Interacts closely with new product development group to assist in implementation and scale up of new products on the production lines. Analyzes current machinery conditions and works with internal and external resources to modify and improve operational effectiveness. Leads facility in Lean Manufacturing efforts and education. Ultimately, you will be in charge of preparing detailed reports and analysis for use by management in measuring overall production efficiency. Mechanical, electrical, and industrial experience. Excellent technical skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (Root Cause analysis techniques required). Will consider recent college grads with coop or internship experience. Icing on the cake: 2-4 years of practical work experience in blown film extrusion or film converting. 5S and Lean experience. Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, CAD, and Solidworks. Thermoforming or Injection Molding or packaging equipment process experience. Want to know more?
