Job Overview Supports end to end Automated Logic Corporation (ALC) WebCTRL Building Management System (BMS) networks and solutions, design review, validation, testing and operations acceptance for all new or expansion nodes/platforms or services being introduced into T-Mobiles WebCTRL BMS (Primary) and other BMS related system platforms including Ecostruxure, Niagara, Alerton. Performs diagnostic investigation into complex BMS network issues to resolve and identify root causes. Provide technical leadership, guidance and advice to other engineers who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, testing and operating the BMS platforms. Evaluate and report on design, reliability and maintenance problems to the relevant T-Mobile design or BMS vendor organizations and provide design recommendations to improve the overall internal customer experience and to drive long-term system improvements. Position serves as primary interface between T-Mobile and its BMS, A&E and equipment support Vendors for technical escalation and problem management of the BMS issues and to provide technical solutions for the system and end-users. This position provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) level and BMS programming support in multiple disciplines for end to end BMS network and solutions design review, validation, testing and operations acceptance for all new or expansion BMS nodes/platforms, critical facility equipment and services being introduced into T-Mobile Critical Facilitesnational portfolio . This position uses extensive WebCTRL and BMS programming knowledge and strategy to carry out expert level diagnostic investigation of BMS system issues, to identify and resolve the root causes. Provides technical leadership, guidance and advice to other engineers who are diagnosing, troubleshooting and testing complex Critical Facilities sysems networks and systems. This position identifies BMS technical development opportunities for other engineers, develops and implements technical training programs as needed. This position analyzes, design, reliability and maintenance problems to the relevant T-Mobile and vendor organizations and provides design improvement recommendations to improve the overall reliability and effectiveness of the BMS System functionality and drives sustained long-term benefits. Works on technical assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments. Job Responsibilities: BMS System Owners Representative - Understand all aspects of the BMS Systems Webctrl-Primary, Ecostruxure & Niagara-Secondary) while supporting the growth and development of the BMS system while ensuring accurate visibility, alarming and monitoring of 150+ critical facilities across the country. Able to create operators and privileges, develop schedules, troubleshoot with alarms and trends, and document using WebCTRL's reporting features Able to configure and deploy complex features, such as advanced alarming and custom trending. They will also able to set up location-dependent security privileges, as well as operators and privileges within groups. BMS Design - Review and design complete building automation systems, including controllers, electromechanical devices, sensors, networks, and computer hardware. Sequences - Create and review sequences of operation for common mechanical and electrical building systems to ensure functionality and consistency. Program Library - Document and review BAS design and manage revision control for designs programs and graphics. Configurations - Configure WebCTRL system using Site Builder. Programming - Create and Edit Program control algorithms, including third-party integration using Eikon. Able to create complex control programs and logic symbols. Identify programming as it is implemented within a complete system, and utilize naming standards to create a library for quickly placing previously developed logic into new systems, making programming more efficient. Able to create a properties page, simulating a control program, and major customization to EquipmentBuilder programs. Graphics - Develop and review graphical and text-based interfaces for BAS using Eikon and ViewBuilder. Able to identify, define, and/or apply advanced conditional expressions, WebCTRL paths for system/ equipment linking, and complete customization of equipment graphics, including HTML controls, external links, document links, email links, and custom images and symbols for WebCTRL graphics. Networking & Integration - Able to design complex network systems as well as troubleshoot networks with Wireshark. Able to set up complex Automated Logic networks, troubleshoot networks, and create a secure WebCTRL site. Able to troubleshooting a WebCTRL system by reading and understanding a Wireshark capture and the dynamic BACnet binding process. Understands the theory behind the BACnet protocol and how to seamlessly integrate third-party BACnet devices into a WebCTRL system. Utilize EIKON, Networking, and ViewBuilder skills to read and write BACnet objects while following a sequence of operation to incorporate them into a WebCTRL system without stressing the network. BMS Testing and Commissioning - Support and review functional testing (commissioning) for building systems. Able to confidently install, commission, troubleshoot, and edit a WebCTRL system utilizing EIKON, SiteBuilder, ViewBuilder, and WebCTRL. Documentation - Review As-Built documentation incorporating all changes since the submittal. Design Standards - Adhere to project requirements, company, and customer standards in all aspects of design, programming, and implementation. Support - Provide technical support to project and operations teams to ensure design intent requirements and proper solutions are implemented. Training - Develop and assist with system specific training courses targeting the needs of various system user groups Risk Assessment - Identify and communicate opportunities and risks related to functionality, cost, time, and technical considerations. RFI Response - Create and Respond to RFIs promptly. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
