For more information, visit The schedule is 7: 30 a.m.- 03: 30 p.m. Monday- Friday until approximately October. Then switching to rotating 12 hour schedule from 06: 00 a.m. to 6: 00 p.m. Job Summary: Coordinates a highly motivated team and ensures that all procedures taking place comply with Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO regulations. Responsible for ensuring staff is trained on processes. Function as a process expert and troubleshooter.Function in a team environment that requires energy, self-motivation and a strong sense of urgency. Working with supervisor, other members of management, and other operations employees, helps to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met. Essential Functions & Accountabilities: Describe specific job responsibilities/duties/accountabilities, listing the most important first. Monitors workflow and adjusts personnel operations as necessary. Oversee machine set-up, adjustments, installations and work in progress inspection. Interpret as well as execute daily quality, volume, and yield requirements of the area you are responsible for. Ensures continued adherence to standards of tolerance and product quality. Maintain regular observation of all production operations and processes and act as a resource for employee inquiries. Direct or perform basic equipment adjustments in order to optimize equipment performance. Perform other support services related to production as directed. May evaluate new or prototype equipment relative to production. Provide operational feedback to the shift supervisor and maintenance technicians and recommend solutions to problems. As needed, substitutes for production employees to assure a smooth work flow and optimum production. Provides regular input and assistance to the department supervisor with regard to employee performance, disciplinary actions and positive reinforcement feedback. Communicates effectively to all levels of the organization. Sends detailed daily shift reports on performance in assigned area. Enforces adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements, including FDA, GMP, and ISO. Coach employees on demonstrating behavior which models CooperVisions values. Ensures that production operations are compliant with facility safety regulations and best practices, communicates regular safety updates to employees. Monitors work assignments that have been given high priority to ensure work is carried out on schedule. Perform equipment cleaning duties as necessary. In the absence of the Supervisor, will oversee the department. As business needs dictate, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Microsoft Office Suite skills/ knowledge/ experience or equivalent training required. Ability to follow basic procedural and regulatory requirements. Exhibits leadership skills and provide direction to others. Exhibits good communication skills verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language. Data analysis and interpretation skills. Requires a basic knowledge of Baan ERP, CooperVision Manufacturing Lathing (CVML) software, Agile, Kronos and other required systems Ability to operate, enter data, and retrieve data into electronic devices such as computers, scanners, and Equipment Human-Machine Interface control panels. Ability to interpret equipment performance and apply corrective actions as needed. Analyze yield and efficiency data and make adjustments as necessary to meet shift goals. Must be extremely proactive in problem solving and equipment performance. Have the ability to effectively communicate technical system problems to support groups. Adaptable, able to creatively brainstorm and work successfully with other departments on issues outside of manufacturing control. Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing a plus.
