Due to our continued growth and success, we are currently seeking Corporate Controller to join our team. Position Overview: The corporate controller is responsible for overseeing Century Fasteners' financial operations and plays a crucial role in safeguarding the company's financial practices. The Controller manages and develops the accounting staff. Essential Job Functions: Oversee all aspects of accounting processes to ensure accurate accounting records and timely consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP. General ledger management, overseeing maintenance and reconciliation of chart of accounts and accuracy of accounting postings and journal entries. Oversite of accounts receivable and accounts payable functions ensuring timely processing of receipts and vendor payments. Assist in the cash management of bank accounts. Review monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Develop and monitor internal financial controls and procedures. Accounting staff management including hiring, training, development and retention of accounting staff. Provide leadership, oversite and support of the accounting team, creating an environment of trust and productivity. Lead on Monthly/year-end closing process. Review and reconcile foreign Interco monthly sales, receivables and inventory. Ensure all transactions are properly documented and discrepancies are addressed. Stay informed of all industry trends and changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant standards. Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances. Coordinate and assist with annual audit with external auditors to provide needed information for audit. Payroll management- Supervise the payroll process to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees. Ad hoc projects as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Distribution or Manufacturing work environment preferred. 7-10 years' experience in accounting field with increasing levels of accounting responsibility. Required 3-5 years supervisory experience successfully managing accounting team. Experience in ERP software (P-21 preferred but not required), Microsoft office and ADP Workforce Now. Preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations. Attention to detail and accuracy. Able to work well with senior executives and proficient in team-building and mentoring team members.
