This New York based position will support the Senior Director of Revenue Management overseeing two Forbes Five Star Four Seasons properties: New York Downtown and One Dalton Street, Boston. PURPOSE Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown and Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston is searching for a shared-services Revenue Manager based in New York. This role will be categorized as an Assistant Manager. The position will support total revenue management efforts throughout the hotel while collaborating with the Senior Director of Revenue on rate, inventory, and marketing strategies for maximum return on investment. The ideal candidate should have experience working within Opera, IDeaS G3 RMS, and PowerBI. Excellent verbal and written skills in English are required. Previous experience in Reservations, Revenue Management or Sales and Marketing is required. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working in a team setting. Some travel required to visit the other property. DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Education and Experience • 2 years as an analyst/manager in the hotel industry revenue management discipline • College degree in Hospitality Management with previous hotel internship and/or work experience in Reservations/Revenue. Desired Skills and Abilities • Strong organization and analytical skills • Intermediate or expert skill level in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products • Experience working in a sales / revenue management environment. Ability to effectively develop and deploy hotel inventory and yield management strategies in a multi-property environment that support individual Hotel revenue goals, as well as corporate revenue management initiatives. • Ability to communicate effectively across various management levels and with partners and vendors. Strong written and verbal communications skills required. • Strong knowledge and ability to use electronic media, marketing, and distribution platforms to generate incremental revenue for managed asset(s). • Knowledge of current economic conditions pertaining to, and its impact on, the travel and lodging industry (cause and effect relationships), with expertise on the managed asset's local marketplace. • Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal customers and outside vendors, collect information and successfully resolve conflicts. • Excellent communication and leadership skills. Must have strong creative problem-solving skills. • Strong analytical skills with the ability and willingness to draw conclusions and take quick decisive action regarding the analysis. Be able to present ideas/ large volumes of information in a clear/concise articulate manner. Ability to analyze and interpret basic financial/market data. Confidence, ability to think clearly and perform well under pressure. • Ability to facilitate weekly yield management meetings for multiple properties. Including establishing and prioritizing agenda items and collection of data to execute meeting effectively. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Assist the Senior Director of Revenue with daily rate and inventory management; and able to cover functions of revenue management in the absence of the Senior Director of Revenue. • Develop, maintain, and analyze production reports as needed to provide business performance reviews, hotel pricing/yielding results, mix of business optimization studies, marketing and customer behavior, competitive intelligence, forecasting and statistical data, budgeting support, etc. • Supports the Group and Leisure sales teams on making the best business decisions relating to pricing, ancillary spend, displacement, concessions, and liabilities. • Understand and identify brand pricing, promotional, marketing and eCommerce initiatives and recommendations that should be implemented not only for compliance but to maximize revenues. • Monitors and ensures rate integrity between and all other distribution channels. Work with the WRO Distribution and Central Systems Support teams to ensure the resort has optimal website display for rates and promotions. • Business evaluation of group, FIT/Wholesale and contract identifying the right revenue decisions when accepting business. • Reviews group cut-off dates to ensure proper inventory is being sold and leads Group Pick-Up Meetings with the Group Coordinator and Conference Service Management team • Enforce the established room and rate availability guidelines to maximize occupancy and revenue. • Identifying demand generators for each market and production from these accounts or attractions • Understanding and projecting market trends and position relative to competitors, ensuring all hotels in the impacted area are properly positioned. • Assist in maintaining all revenue management related systems; IDeaS, Power BI/ RevFinder, Opera PMS, Golden Sales & Catering Salary Expectations- $80,000- $85,000 What to Expect: You Will...
