LHH is working with our client who is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join our finance team. This role is critical in overseeing ACH and wire payments while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and security in transaction processing. The ideal candidate has experience with positive pay procedures to protect against fraud, along with a strong understanding of payment workflows. Compensation $26-$28HR Key Responsibilities: Manage and execute ACH and wire transfers, ensuring all transactions comply with company policy and regulatory requirements. Set up and maintain positive pay protocols to safeguard against unauthorized payments. Reconcile discrepancies in positive pay exceptions and resolve issues with the bank in a timely manner. Verify invoices, ensuring accuracy in vendor information, coding, and supporting documentation. Maintain strong vendor relationships by addressing payment inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and communicating payment statuses. Perform monthly account reconciliations for Accounts Payable sub-ledger and bank statements, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately. Proactively identify opportunities to improve payment workflows and fraud prevention controls. Ensure compliance with SOX controls, internal policies, and regulatory requirements related to payment processing and positive pay activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 2-3 years in Accounts Payable with hands-on experience in ACH, wire transfers, and positive pay procedures. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and bank platforms; strong Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
