About the RoleThe New York Times is looking for a Senior QA Manager in the Games Mission to lead the Quality Assurance team.You will report to the Head of Engineering for the Games Mission, closely working with Engineering, Product and Production and overseeing the QA strategy, automation tooling and product delivery across all the squads. This is a hybrid role based in our New York City headquarters. This is an important role to deliver high quality products to our customers.Responsibilities:Manage a team of QA leads & engineers to ensure KPI-driven software qualityUse a combination of automated and manual testing techniques that ensure high-quality software delivery across mobile apps, web and backend apisCoordinate with Mobile apps leadership for release managementEstablish and maintain QA metrics and reporting dashboardsCollaborate with engineering to incorporate testing within the CI/CD pipelinesCollaborate with other QA leaders across NYT for shared best practicesIn-depth and updated industry knowledge of software testing methodologies and automation frameworksDemonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.Basic Qualifications:7+ years of experience as QA Engineer ensuring high quality delivery of complex projects spanning multiple platforms2+ years of experience managing a team of QA engineersExtensive experience with Test Automation Frameworks e.g. XCUI, Espresso, Appium, Playwright, Webdriver.IOExperience working with cross functional stakeholders and multiple engineering teams with varying skill setsPreferred Qualifications:2+ years experience handling mobile apps release managementExperience leading globally distributed teams of QA engineersREQ-017456#LI-HybridThe annual base pay range for this role is between:$176,000-$193,000 USDThe New York Times is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce, one that reflects the varied global community we serve.
