X-Ray Technologist

A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking X-Ray Technologist to join their growing Care Team on Staten Island. In this role, the X-Ray Technologist will be responsible for assisting providers with clinical services and administrative tasks to support the patient population. About the Opportunity: Schedule: Monday to Sunday Hours: 12hr shifts: 7am-7:30pm & 7pm-730am A shift - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday B shift - Thursday, Friday C shift - Saturday, Sunday Full time & Part time schedule available Setting: Field Responsibilities: Performs radiologic services in accordance with standards established by the hospital as well as Federal, State, and Local standards Prepares patient for examination, explains procedure to patient and answers any questions they may have Transfers patient to examination area, positions patient, makes pre-determined exposure according to technique guide recommendations Adjusts equipment as needed for the examination Arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain and maintain proper patient positioning Observes patient and radiographic device during procedure, reports unusual occurrences and records patient's condition when appropriate Records all information pertaining to the examination performed in the software Records any information which will be helpful to the Radiologist, or which describes limitations of the examination performed Provides for proper image identification, and is directly responsible for assuring that all images are labeled properly and completely Transports and uses mobile radiology equipment in patient care areas as required Performs all required paperwork as assigned by the supervisor (i.e.: incident reporting, etc.) Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Must be a graduate of an accredited two-year program in X-Ray technology New York State license in X-Ray Technology Desired Skills: A minimum of 6+months of experience
