Our Core Values Meaningful relationships Accountability Respect Strong communication Collaboration Innovation About This Role The Accounting Manager oversees all aspects of financial reporting and accounting functions within the organization. This role involves ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. This is a part-time, hybrid position, estimating an average of , though some weeks will be higher and some lower based on timeframe and projects. Primary Functions of this Role: Oversee and manage all general accounting functions, including performing month-end closing process, preparing and booking journal entries, and associated account reconciliations. Collect, analyze, verify, and report financial data for the leadership team in a timely manner. Implement and manage the budget process from start to finish. Oversight of revenue and expense, Serve as tax liaison to CPA firm and finalize final tax filings. Accounts receivable - reconciling commissions received vs. expected. Provide producing account managers with regular updates. Provide backup for Senior Accounting Associate for daily accounting responsibilities, including ACH payments and monitoring positive pay requirements with the bank, and AP/AR duties. Maintain and improve current accounting infrastructure to scale with business growth, including documentation of policies and procedures. Oversee all audits/reviews - financial, tax, bank, etc. Provide backup for Senior Accounting Associate for commission responsibilities, including deposit entries, tracking and monitoring of expected commissions. Five or more years of experience in accounting or finance roles. Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software. Proficient or ability to learn how to manage work in Asana, our project management tool. Knowledge and understanding of GAAP and its implications. Adept at creating budgets and managing the budgeting process. Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with client project teams, benefits administrators, and external vendors. Proven leadership ability with a track record of driving results and managing projects. Proficient in multitasking and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Exceptional writing abilities.
