Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Prepare/execute all fixed asset and intangible asset-related activities, including month-end financial close activities and entries, preparation of fixed asset roll-forwards and account reconciliations, maintaining CIP accounts and ensuring assets are placed into-service (depreciated/amortized) on a timely basis, recording of disposals (and associated gain/loss on sale), etc. Actively participate in efforts to streamline the overall financial close process Engage and partner with equipment/fleet operations personnel to facilitate timely and accurate in-service of assets when purchased/entered into CIP. Analyze and forecast fixed asset spend and related depreciation, at both the field and corporate levels. Participate in the development and maintenance of a company-wide fixed asset/capitalization policy and supporting processes. Regular interaction/support of the external auditors for the consolidated (and subsidiary) year-end audits, with regards to fixed asset and intangible asset-related accounts. Participate in special projects such as integration of new or acquired companies, system implements, process improvements, etc.. Help with other responsibilities, as needed, such as real and personal property tax filings, payroll/bonus accruals and related filings. Requirements: BS in Accounting. CPA preferred, but not required Preferred experience level - 2 to 4 years' experience in fixed asset accounting or related disciplines. Good written and verbal communication skills. Team player with a teachable attitude / willingness to learn. Ability to execute tasks within a project plan on time and at a high-level of quality. Working knowledge of MS Office tools Experience using modern ERP's such as SAP or Oracle preferred Good social skills in dealing with internal personnel, auditors, and customers.
