RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainment of EHS programs, policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all employees, visitors, and contractors; protect the environment, and maintain compliance with all national and local regulations for manufacturing plant. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and advise management of emerging environmental health, safety and welfare legislation Develop, implement and conduct safety training programs and conduct training sessions at for all manufacturing employees and contractors Maintain and communicate HS&E statistics and metrics Support in risk assessments and external safety audit/inspections and bring forth recommendations that will improve working conditions and reduce risk factors Coordinate the integration of environmental management and sustainability issues into policies, rules, services and operations Promote best practice in energy use, waste reduction and sustainable development and consult management on all matters relating to health, safety and environment to ensure consistent application Maintain records of safety violations, OSHA, workers' compensation cases and administer the chemical safety program, including requirements for hazardous communication and global harmonization REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety & Environmental Engineering/Science or a related field Bilingual Spanish (preferred) 5 years of experience or a combination of education, training and experience Expertise, knowledge and understanding of OSHA Must be able to possess RCRA/DOT certification for handling of hazardous waste Knowledge of State and Federal regulations related to Health, Safety and Environmental Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year Search managed by: Robert Park Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
