Job Title: Senior Financial Planning Analyst Position Summary: The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research ("the Foundation") is seeking top talent for its Senior Financial Planning Analyst position. Reporting to the VP, Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role proactively partners with stakeholders across the organization to provide financial insights and inform decision making. This position will be a key partner to the Senior Financial Analyst who supports the Research Partnerships business unit. This position can be based anywhere in the U.S. and will be expected to work east coast hours (standard business hours are 9:00am - 5:00pmEST). Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Work closely with senior management to develop multi-year financial plans, org-wide and by program. This would also include net assets reporting and cashflows Develop modeling, forecasting and other reports to provide accessibility to key financial data to different levels of management Build and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to understand business needs and co-own financial key results. This encompasses communicating effectively to understand and document stakeholders' requirements Lead reviews with budget owners to monitor progress against budget and develop customized reporting where needed Oversee variance analysis such as actual vs. forecast and communicate summarized results Lead change initiatives involving documentation of new processes and procedures Remain abreast of current best practices in analytics to consistently bring innovation Qualifications and Skills: Relevant experience as administrator of forecasting and reporting software such as Workday Adaptive Insights Fundamental accounting experience, including working knowledge of cash flow, revenue recognition, invoicing, and net assets Clearly communicate complex financial information to a diverse audience Proactive mindset and the ability to determine course of action Agile in working on multiple deliverables, operate independently and comfortable in dealing with ambiguity inherent in building new processes and change initiatives Effective in building strong working relationships and collaborate across the organization to problem-solve Attention to detail and acumen in streamlining processes Experience with DOMO and SQL a plus Familiarity with nonprofit or medical research environment such as in biotech/pharma R&D, CRO, or university is preferred Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000.
