The Automotive Body Technician will report to the Collision Center Manager and pay will commensurate with the chosen candidate's experience.Essential Job FunctionsRestores damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearanceUse hand tools and power tools to remove or repair damaged partsPerform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracyWork with a variety of metals and plastics, as well as glass, electrical, and mechanical partsProperly install new partsWeld as neededFollow all workplace safety requirementsOther duties as assigned by supervisor(s)Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentThree or more years of automotive collision repair experienceICAR or ASE certification in auto body repair preferredHave own toolsAbility to read and follow instructions on repair ordersValid driver's license and clean driving reportCharacteristics SoughtPassionate about repairing vehiclesMeticulous attention to detailAbility to work without supervisionWillingness to continually learnAbility to think criticallyPunctual and reliableDisclaimer:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
