Your Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Payroll Tax Supervisor with a strong background in payroll tax compliance and proven expertise in Oracle applications. The role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our Oracle ERP systems, specifically focusing on payroll and tax modules. This role requires collaboration with our Integrated Business Applications, Finance, and HR teams to ensure compliance with payroll regulations and to enhance system functionality. As a Payroll Tax Supervisor, you must be experienced with U.S. and multi-state payrolls, federal, state, and local tax preparation and filing. You will monitor current and impending changes to tax regulation and make the appropriate updates to policies and strategies. You will be single minded in their pursuit of ensuring compliance and achieves this goal through optimizing reporting procedures and driving the successful function of the tax team. You will be a member of the Financial Services team overseeing two Tax Analysts and work collaboratively with our Global Mobility Analyst. This role will report directly to the US Payroll Manager. Your Key Responsibilities Provide supervision to the US Payroll Tax Team including coaching, training, workload distribution, as well as workflow direction to ensure timely and accurate transactions. Responsible for performance management of direct reports ensuring regular performance feedback and the completion of their annual performance reviews. Assess and maintain Oracle tax set up and troubleshoot any inconsistences that require resolution. Liaise with members of the Payroll, Benefit, Finance and IT teams to assess any new and/or changing Oracle elements, to ensure that the taxation rules are correctly applied. Audit, validate, analyze data from gross to net and ensure compliance has been achieved. Review the documentation related to monthly Vertex updates as well as quarterly Oracle/ADP patches and facilitate the testing and validation of same, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax authorities. Responsible for all payroll tax activities, including registration and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and partnering with ADP to ensure timely review and delivery of federal, state and local payroll deposits and tax returns Administer and review ADP tax interface reports, upload all tax files and resolve exceptions in ADP Smart Compliance. Ensure the timely submissions of all quarterly and annual employment tax returns including 941, 940, state filing, Forms W-2, and W-2c through ADP. Proactively prevent penalty and non-filing notice situations by leveraging a deadline-driven approach. Provide technical and analytical support to payroll team with an eye to opportunities to optimize system performance and implement enhancement(s). Collaborate with the US Business Analyst and Payroll Manager with respect to ongoing analysis of company policies, time & attendance and payroll system configuration to ensure compliance and recommend opportunities for increased efficiencies. Manage U.S. acquisition activity to include Y-T-D tax balance transfers at the employee level as well as the closures of the SUI and SIT/LIT accounts and potential recovery of over paid taxes. Work closely with Finance to ensure all tax related items are coded correctly on General Ledger and provide support for tax related account reconciliations. Prepare materials for external or internal auditors to include IRS, state and local agencies and corporate tax etc. Work with Global Mobility team to ensure wages and taxes are reported correctly for overseas employees and VISA holders. Address escalated and complex tax related inquiries. Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials Proven experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (or relevant Oracle Cloud applications). Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance. Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle development tools. Experience with integrations and data migrations within Oracle systems. Relevant Certifications in Oracle (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional). Expérience in project management or agile methodologies. Knowledge of HR systems integration with payroll. Extensive individual/corporate/partnership tax knowledge. Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance. Extensive experience in U.S. Federal, State, and Local reporting requirements. Familiarity with Global Payroll. Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements. Fluent in Microsoft Excel as well as ADP or other tax / accounting programs. Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members. Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, etc.) Relevant Certifications (preferred but not mandatory): Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) for Oracle applications Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Global Management Accountant (CGMA) 3-5 years of experience in Oracle applications development, specifically in Oracle ERP, with a focus on payroll and tax modules.
