Role: IT Infrastructure Engineer I Type: Contract Work Location: 6277 Sea Harbor Drive, Orlando, FL 32821 United States Contract Duration: 24 months Education: Associates degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience. Knowledge and skills: Solid customer service skills Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills Organizational, analytical, and problem determination/resolution skills Ability to prioritize concurrent projects at the task level Ability to work in a team structure, driving to aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment amongst IT professionals Ability to communicate technical concepts and subjects in a clear and concise manner Ability to work and effectively communicate with peers and outside vendors Technical Skills: Basic level client/server architectural understanding Moderate level network and telecommunications architectural understanding Working understanding of software development techniques and methodologies. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite of products; MS Office, Visio and Project Job experience: 3+ years of work experience in a medium to large diverse in-depth, enterprise-wide technical environment integrating, implementing and supporting technologies, specifically around network and telecommunication and client/server integration Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement. Responsibilities: Acts as technical resource in support of day to day execution related to new technology deployments for client sites and facilities (fulfillment). Collaborates with the Site Infrastructure Engineers, Project Management and technology project and supports teams ensuring technology integration configuration standards are implemented and client technology support and standards documentation gets maintained and updated. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsibility #1 a. Performs basic engineering tasks associated with planning, design, installation (as needed), testing, deployment, and support of all site technologies. Collaborates with more experienced engineers to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems. (40 % time) Responsibility #2 a. Supports the administration functions related to due diligence assessments on proposed projects to determine technical requirements and points of integration (20% time) Responsibility #3 a. Performs basic to moderate configuration of infrastructure integration technologies (15% time) Responsibility #4 a. Works with higher level Site Infrastructure Engineers and project managers to help minimize the impacts to adjusting project priorities as needed to meet the overall needs of the organization. (15% time) Responsibility #5 a. Assist with testing and documenting of new integration tools and methodologies (10% time) • Performs other duties as needed Comments/Special Instructions: The team needs someone that has structured cabling and circuit provisioning experience along with basic project management understanding. Coming from a construction background is a benefit. Summary: cts as the technical resource in support of small day to day site infrastructure operational initiatives, primarily those coming through the SIS Team ticketing queue. The administrator's primary role is building and supporting processes to maintain and update team technical documentation. Collaborates with the Site Infrastructure Engineers, Project Management and technology project and supports teams to ensure work aligns with current resource allocations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform site infrastructure administrative tasks in support of the site requests for technology moves, adds and changes. Collaborate with more experienced engineers to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems Under supervision, assist with basic engineering tasks associated with planning, testing, deployment and support of smaller site infrastructure type projects. Under supervision perform entry level configuration of infrastructure integration technologies. Work with higher level site infrastructure engineers and project managers to help communicate resource needs outside of SIS to ensure project priorities are adhered to as needed to meet the overall needs of the organization. Update and maintain the reporting and dashboard functions associated with the SIS ticketing queue. Maintain a positive and optimistic working environment. Communicate areas where existing policies, procedures, and/or standards are inhibiting delivery of quality technical solutions and recommend changes/alterations. Provide periodic reports to management. Work with site engineering team to ensure site inventory data is maintained. Complete other assignments as requested by management.
