Title: Sr. Project Manager (Electrical Estimator)Location: Phoenix, AZPosition SummaryAs the Senior Project Manager for Electrical Estimating and Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the success of data center construction projects from inception through completion. This role requires a unique combination of leadership in project management and in-depth expertise in electrical cost estimation. You will work closely with internal and external teams to deliver successful projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements and engineering standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following duties satisfactorily. Develop and manage detailed project schedules, including all phases of design, procurement, and construction. Oversee design-build contractor coordination and supervise both office and field operations. Conduct regular project meetings, publish and distribute minutes, and maintain monthly project status reports. Lead pre-bid oversight and coordination, including RFP development and budgeting. Perform constructability reviews and provide feedback to ensure efficient construction schedules and processes. Engage directly with clients to understand requirements, provide updates, and ensure project alignment. Oversee on-site safety enforcement and adherence to safety standards (OSHA 30 Hour preferred). Manage project closeout, commissioning, and hand-off processes, ensuring all project documentation is complete and meets client Estimation Responsibilities: Generate cost estimates for conceptual designs, region expansions, and new projects, maintaining accuracy and consistency across all estimates. Conduct site walks and collaborate with Preconstruction managers to create and update a database of bid documents. Support proposal development for potential projects and attend kick-off meetings to transition projects smoothly from bid to execution. Utilize tools and historical data to conduct cost performance analysis and validate complex changes. Provide insights on vendor proposals, benchmarking against AWS and other data standards to ensure cost competitiveness.Financial Oversight and Reporting: Develop and manage project budgets, cash-flow forecasting, and monthly financial reporting. Review monthly contractor billing and perform job site evaluations to substantiate work progress. Lead contract negotiation and management for trade contractors, vendors, and suppliers, emphasizing procurement timelines and cost efficiency. Manage change orders, RFIs, and submittal review processes to maintain project accuracy and budget alignment.Process Improvement and Risk Management: Identify lessons learned and implement process improvements to enhance cost savings and scheduling efficiency. Collaborate with the proposal team to balance design criteria with budget constraints, ensuring optimal project outcomes.QualificationsTo excel in this role, an individual should meet the following qualifications: Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred. 10+ years of experience managing construction projects, with 5+ years in electrical estimating and cost control. Strong background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) construction management. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, PROCORE, and estimating software such as Trimble or Accubid. Experience with cost control programs and building historical data repositories for future project reference. Supervisory Responsibilities: Ability to supervise roles such as Assistant Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Superintendents.
